Zarina received her accounting degree in 1992 from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom. She brings with her 30 years of experience related to Commercial Banking, Strategic Planning, Corporate Budget Planning, Corporate Financial Risk Management, Financial Management & Planning.

As Corporate Financial Controller, International Certified Professional Trainer & HRD Corp Accredited Trainer, she worked closely with international consultants such as Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Deloitte Consulting LLP, McKinsey, Ernst & Young, A.T. Kearney, Accenture, KPMG and PWC.

Zarina has been recognised as a "Smart Spending Champion" and a "Role Model" by the CEO of Celcom Axiata for successfully reducing company costs by tens of millions of ringgit. She obtained the Islamic Financial Planner (IFP) certification from FPAM in 2014 and became a Certified Professional Trainer from the International Professional Managers Association in 2023.

Known on social media as Zarina Money Sifu, she has conducted various financial management training and seminars for corporate companies, university students, MFPC platform and the general public to promote financial literacy.
